In September 2025, Angola experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate, reaching 18.24%, marking the lowest point since November 2023. This decline extends the downward trend that commenced in August 2024. The inflationary pressures have been mitigated by the stability of the kwanza and the improved availability of goods. A notable moderation in price increases was observed across several sectors, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (now at 18.48% compared to 19.24% in August), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (19.22% compared to 20.55%), clothing and footwear (18.43% compared to 19.64%), health (22.11% compared to 23.69%), restaurants and hotels (18.12% compared to 19.73%), and miscellaneous goods and services (19.96% compared to 20.54%). On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 1.08% in September, following a 1.09% increase in the previous month.
