In September 2025, Romania's annual inflation rate was recorded at 9.9%, maintaining its pace from August and coming in slightly below the anticipated 10.1% rise. This figure represents the peak since June 2023, largely attributed to an increase in the costs of non-food products, which climbed to 11.09% from 10.48% in August, alongside a rise in service prices to 10.36% from 9.85%. Conversely, food inflation showed signs of relief, dropping to 7.86% from the previous 8.92%. On a monthly scale, consumer prices rose by 0.36% in September, following a more significant 2.10% increase in the prior month.
