DAX Ends Higher

On Monday, Germany's DAX index closed approximately 0.6% higher at 24,375 points, buoyed by a reduction in global tensions and the commencement of the earnings season. Investors were also closely monitoring President Trump's potential shifts in trade policy and recent political events in France. Notably, President Trump indicated a possible relaxation of his tariff plans concerning China, after having announced an additional 100% tariff alongside new export controls on critical software, set to take effect on November 1. This move was in response to China's limitations on rare earth exports. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron sought to address an escalating political situation by revealing a refreshed cabinet, which included the reappointment of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu. In the stock market, top performers included Siemens Energy with a 2.4% gain, Fresenius Medical Care up by 2.2%, followed by Infineon Technologies and Siemens, which rose by 1.8% and 1.6% respectively. Conversely, Commerzbank and Bayer experienced the largest declines, with losses of 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.
