In August 2025, Peru's GDP experienced a year-on-year growth of 3.18%, a slight decrease from the 3.41% growth reported in July. This marked the seventeenth consecutive month of expansion. On the other hand, mining and hydrocarbons continued their growth trajectory, posting 1.78%, albeit slightly lower than July's 1.95%. The lodging and restaurant industry returned to positive growth at 0.89% from a previous decline of -0.82%, while commerce saw an improvement, increasing to 3.78% from 2.72%. Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted national production index rose by 0.29% compared to the previous month.
