In September 2025, producer prices in the Czech Republic saw a year-on-year decline of 1.0%, surpassing market expectations, which anticipated a 0.7% decrease, and following a 0.8% reduction in July. This persistent downtrend in producer prices, which has continued for eight consecutive months, is largely attributed to the decreased costs in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector, which fell by 3.8% compared to 2% previously. Conversely, the decline in prices for the mining and quarrying sector eased slightly to 4.1% from 4.3%, whereas manufacturing experienced a minimal decrease of 0.1%, down from 0.3%. In the domain of water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services, costs remained unchanged at 4.1%. On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped by 0.4% in September, after having remained stable the previous month.
