In August 2025, Serbia's current account deficit increased to $395 million, up from a revised $359 million in August 2024. The deficit in goods saw a slight increase to $580 million from $563 million in the same month the previous year. Meanwhile, the services surplus experienced a significant decrease to $56 million from $144 million. The primary income deficit showed improvement, reducing to $338 million from $381 million, and the secondary income surplus rose to $468 million from $441 million. Overall, for the first eight months of 2025, Serbia's current account deficit expanded to $2.68 billion, compared to $2.05 billion during the same period in the prior year.
