In September 2025, Qatar experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate, with the figure reaching 1.15%, up from 0.73% in August. This marks the highest inflation rate since August 2024. The increase was primarily influenced by higher prices in various sectors: miscellaneous goods and services saw a jump of 12.75%, clothing and footwear rose by 2.93%, education increased by 2.47%, recreation and culture grew by 1.53%, food and beverages went up by 1.42%, and communication experienced a slight rise of 0.56%. Conversely, there were declines in several areas: restaurant and hotel prices dropped by 1.48%, transport fell by 1.12%, furniture and household equipment decreased by 0.35%, housing and utilities shrank by 0.23%, and health saw a slight decline of 0.07%. Tobacco prices remained unchanged. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices saw a significant increase of 0.90%, marking the largest monthly gain in eleven months, following a 0.42% rise in the prior month.
