European stock markets showed minimal movement on Tuesday, with the STOXX 50 and STOXX 600 indices hovering near unchanged as investors took a breather following significant gains in the previous session and evaluated the release of new corporate reports. Gains were seen in the real estate and utilities sectors, with banks also performing well. Conversely, the chemicals and food & beverage sectors saw declines. On the earnings front, Edenred's shares jumped over 10% to lead the STOXX 600 following stronger-than-expected third-quarter sales, while Assa Abloy saw its shares increase by 2.8% after posting a slightly better-than-anticipated operating profit for the same period. L’Oréal's shares fell 0.9%, whereas UniCredit experienced a 0.3% increase as anticipation built for its earnings report. In the large-cap stock sector, ASML Holding's shares dipped 0.9%, and SAP's shares dropped 0.6%, while Hermes experienced a 0.9% rise and HSBC Holdings saw a 1.8% increase following the announcement of a new CEO for its UK operations.
