Producer prices in Latvia experienced a 1.4% year-on-year increase in September 2025, up from a 0.5% rise in August. This represents the most significant uptick in producer prices since February, primarily attributed to increased costs in the sectors of mining and quarrying, which rose to 13.9% from 11.7%, and manufacturing, which slightly increased to 1.9% from 1.8%. Furthermore, there was a moderated decrease in prices for electricity, gas supply, heating, and air-conditioning, which dropped by 3.6% compared to an 8.4% decrease previously. Conversely, producer inflation eased for the sectors of water supply, wastewater treatment, waste management, and sanitation, which saw a decline to 6.2% from 8.6%. On a monthly scale, producer prices saw a marginal increase of 0.1% in September, a slowdown from the 1% rise witnessed in the previous month.
