In the third quarter of 2025, the Swedish economy experienced a robust growth of 1.1% from the previous quarter, as indicated by preliminary data. This is a notable acceleration compared to the revised growth figure of 0.1% in the preceding quarter and is the strongest economic performance since early 2023, surpassing the anticipated growth of 0.8%. Mattias Kain Wyatt, an economist at Statistics Sweden, attributed this vigorous growth primarily to strong economic activity in August. Year-over-year, the GDP registered an increase of 2.4%, outperforming predictions of a 1.6% rise and exceeding the revised 0.9% growth from the previous quarter, which is the most significant expansion since late 2021.
