South Korea Exports Rise for 5th Month

In October 2025, South Korea recorded a 3.6% increase in exports compared to the previous year, amounting to USD 59.57 billion, according to preliminary data. This reflects a notable deceleration from the 12.7% rise observed in September, yet it signifies the fifth month in a row of export growth. On Wednesday, South Korea and the United States revealed plans to decrease mutual tariffs from 25% to 15%, following an agreement reached in July. However, tariffs on automobiles and auto parts will continue to remain at 25%.
