In October 2025, Paraguay experienced a decline in its annual inflation rate, reducing to 4.1% from the previous month's 4.3%. The transport sector saw deeper deflation, dropping to -4.9% from -3.1%. Meanwhile, there was a deceleration in the price growth of several sectors: clothing and footwear decreased from 2.1% to 1.9%, housing and utilities from 2.7% to 2.6%, furniture and household items from 3.1% to 3.0%, healthcare from 1.9% to 1.8%, communication from 3.9% to 3.3%, and recreation and culture from 3.4% to 3.0%. The inflation rate remained unchanged in the education sector at 4.9%, but it escalated in other areas such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, rising from 9.8% to 10.3%; alcoholic beverages and tobacco, increasing from 1.9% to 2.5%; and restaurants and lodging, which saw a slight rise from 7.1% to 7.2%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.1%, consistent with the decline observed in September.
