In October 2025, Slovenia achieved a trade surplus of EUR 581.4 million, a notable turnaround from the EUR 358.4 million deficit recorded in the same month the previous year. Exports surged by 11.8% year-on-year, reaching EUR 6,008.2 million, driven by increased sales to non-EU countries (up 18.9%) and EU countries (up 4.5%). In contrast, imports decreased by 5.3% to EUR 5,426.8 million, attributed to a decline in purchases from non-EU countries (down 9.2%) as well as EU countries (down 1.1%). For the period from January to September, Slovenia reported a surplus of EUR 2,535.4 million, a marked improvement from a deficit of EUR 3,245.2 million during the same period of the previous year.
