FX.co ★ Hungary Construction Output Rises the Most in Over 3 Years

In September 2025, Hungary's construction output experienced a significant year-on-year increase of 17.6%, the most substantial growth since February 2022. This marks a recovery from a revised 14.6% decrease recorded in the previous month. The rise in output was evident across both sectors: civil engineering saw a notable improvement, advancing by 17.1% following a sharp 34.7% decline, while building construction rose by 18.3%, shifting from a 1.4% drop in August. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output rebounded with a 16.4% increase after an 11.3% decrease in the prior period. Over the January to September timeframe, Hungary's construction activity reported a modest overall growth of 1.7%.
