FX.co ★ Colombia Retail Sales Grow in September

In September 2025, Colombia experienced a notable 14.4% year-on-year increase in retail sales, building on a 12.4% rise recorded in August. All nineteen merchandise categories surveyed showed positive growth. The most significant contributions were from motor vehicles and motorcycles for household use, which surged by 29.8%; other motor vehicles and motorcycles, which rose by 31.4%; and personal or home-use computer and telecommunications equipment, which soared by 50.5%. Additional increases were observed in sectors such as vehicle fuel, up by 8.8%; spare parts, components, and lubricants for household vehicles, climbing by 13.6%; and home appliances and furniture, which increased by 21.6%. When considering the year-to-date figures, retail sales have grown by 12.6%.
