Producer prices in the Czech Republic fell by 1.2% year-on-year in October 2025, aligning with market expectations and continuing the 1.0% decline seen in the previous month. This represents the ninth consecutive month of decreasing prices and the deepest drop since July. Prices for manufactured products decreased further (-0.7%, down from -0.1% in September), with notable declines in basic metals (-3.4%, slightly down from -3.3%) and motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers (-1.5%, down from -1.2%). Additionally, the deflation rate for mining and quarrying remained steady at -4.1%. In contrast, the decline in costs was more moderate for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-2.6%, compared to -3.8%), while producer inflation held steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services at 4.1%. On a monthly basis, producer prices decreased by 0.1%, showing an improvement from the 0.4% drop in September.
