FX.co ★ Colombia GDP Surpasses Expectations in Q3 2025

Colombia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.6% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in the preceding year. This marks an improvement from the 2.1% growth observed in the previous quarter and exceeds the projected growth rate of 3.1%. The primary sectors driving this value-added growth included public administration and services, which rose by 8%, wholesale and retail trade with a 5.6% increase, and manufacturing that expanded by 4.1%. Additionally, significant developments were noted in the sectors of recreation and culture, which grew by 5.7%, and finance, with a 4.3% rise. Conversely, declines were evident in the mining and quarrying sector, which contracted by 5.7%, and the construction sector, which saw a reduction of 1.5%. When seasonally adjusted, the economy demonstrated a quarterly expansion of 1.3%.
