Brazil Consumer Confidence Hits 11-Month High

In November 2025, Brazil's seasonally adjusted FGV-IBRE Consumer Confidence Index increased to 89.8, up from 88.5 in October, marking its highest point since December 2024. The Current Situation Index saw a rise of 1.8 points, reaching 84.8—its peak since December 2014. Notably, the indicator for current local economic conditions inched up by 0.3 points to 95.8, which is the highest level since January 2014. Additionally, the measure of current family finances improved by 3.3 points to 74.1, reversing a two-month trend of declines. Meanwhile, the Expectations Index advanced by 1.0 point to 93.8. Within this index, there were notable increases in expected family finances, rising by 3.2 points to 92.9, and in planned durable goods purchases, which climbed 2.0 points to 84.6. The sole decline was observed in expected local economic conditions, which decreased by 2.2 points to 104.7.
