Industrial production in Taiwan rose by 14.5% in October 2025 compared to the same month the previous year, showing a deceleration from a revised 16.41% increase in September. The growth in manufacturing output slowed to 15.38% from 17.84% the month before. Meanwhile, the decline in mining and quarrying became less pronounced, with a reduction of 0.5%, improving from a sharper drop of 2.85%. Similarly, the decrease in electricity and gas supply was more moderate at 1.05%, compared to a 9.4% fall in September. However, production in the water supply sector continued its downward trend, falling by 2.58% following a 2.27% decline. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity experienced a 0.89% decrease in October, reversing the gains of 0.54% seen the previous month.
