In the August to October 2025 period, Hungary's unemployment rate remained steady at 4.6%, mirroring the figure from the same timeframe in the previous year. The unemployed population saw a reduction of 2,600 individuals compared to the past year, settling at 223,000. Within this group, men accounted for 119,000, bringing their unemployment rate to 4.6%, while women represented 104,000, with an unemployment rate of 4.5%. On average, job seekers spent 12 months searching for employment. A closer look reveals that 44.9% of the unemployed had been job hunting for less than three months, whereas 32.6% had been searching for a year or more. On the employment front, a decline of 30,900 was recorded, bringing the number employed to 4.6722 million. Employment among men decreased by 24,100, reaching 2.4668 million, whereas female employment saw a decrease of 6,800 to 2.2054 million.
