In October 2025, Bulgaria saw a significant rise in producer prices, which increased by 13.5% year-on-year, up from an 8.5% rise recorded in September. This represents the highest growth since March. The surge was primarily driven by soaring prices in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sectors, which jumped by 40.2% compared to 10.6% in the previous month. Additionally, costs in mining and quarrying increased by 16.8%, though slightly down from 22.4% in September, while manufacturing costs rose by 10%, a slight decrease from the 11.4% increase noted earlier. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices advanced by 3.2% in October, recovering from a 0.4% decline in the previous month.
