In November 2025, the number of individuals registering as unemployed in Spain decreased by 18,800 from the previous month, reaching a total of 2.424 million. This followed an increase of 22,100 in October and surpassed expectations of a 12,400 decline. This represents the most significant reduction in unemployment over the past five months and records the lowest November unemployment figures since 2007. Decreases in unemployment were observed across all sectors: services (-13,013), industry (-1,552), agriculture (-1,332), and construction (-881). Youth unemployment also saw a reduction of 5,476, bringing the total to below 190,000—the lowest figure ever recorded for the month of November. Significant decreases in unemployment occurred in Andalusia (-6,934), Madrid (-3,903), and Catalonia (-3,119). Concurrently, a separate report indicated that Spain added 44,734 net formal jobs in November, increasing total registered employment to 21.8 million.
