In October 2025, Hungary's industrial production experienced a year-on-year decline of 2.7%, a stark contrast to a 1.3% rise observed in the preceding month, as indicated by preliminary estimates. The production volumes in most manufacturing sub-sectors witnessed a downturn, especially in the sectors related to vehicles, electrical equipment, and food, beverages, and tobacco. Conversely, there was growth in the output of computers, electronics, and optical products. When adjusted for seasonal variations, industrial activity showed a modest increase of 0.5% in October, following a 1.3% growth in the prior period. Reviewing the data from the first ten months of the year, industrial output registered a decrease of 3.3% compared to the same timeframe the previous year.
