In October 2025, construction output in the Czech Republic rose by 7.1% compared to the same month the previous year, a decrease from September's revised growth rate of 13.1%. This represents the slowest expansion since April, largely attributed to a considerable deceleration in both civil engineering projects, which grew by 3.3% compared to 13.5% last month, and building construction activities, which increased by 9.6% compared to 12.8%. Meanwhile, the estimated value of approved building permits climbed by 7.3% year-on-year, reaching CZK 46.6 billion, and the number of new dwellings initiated surged by 34% to a total of 3,457 units. However, on a month-to-month basis, construction activities declined by 0.4% in October.
