Greece Inflation Rate at 3-Month High

In November 2025, Greece experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate, reaching 2.4%, up from 2% in October. This represents the highest inflation rate since August, primarily fueled by increased costs in several key areas. Notably, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages saw an uptick (2.7% compared to 2.3% in the previous month), as well as housing (3.7% from 1.4%), and hotels, cafes, and restaurants (7.4% compared to 6.5%). Meanwhile, inflation held steady in the sectors of health (remaining at 0.6%), transport (steady at 0.7%), and education (stable at 2.8%). Conversely, a slow-down in price growth was observed in clothing and footwear (1.3% down from 1.9%), durable goods, household appliances, and services (0.5% down from 0.7%), and communication (0.5% down from 0.8%). On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.1% in November, maintaining the same rate as the previous month.
