Brazil Inflation Slows to 14-Month Low in November

In November 2025, Brazil's annual inflation rate declined to 4.46%, the lowest level since September 2024 and falling below the market forecast of 4.49%. In comparison, October's rate was 4.68%. A notable decrease in prices occurred in categories such as food and beverages, which dropped to 3.88% from 5.50%; transport, which eased to 3.00% from 3.69%; personal expenses, down to 6.14% from 6.83%; and communication, which decreased to 0.77% from 0.88%. Additionally, household articles saw a reduction, moving from an increase of 0.43% to a deficit of 0.26%. Conversely, inflation rates increased in sectors like housing, which rose to 6.54% from 4.36%; clothing, up to 5.71% from 5.07%; health and self-care, slightly increasing to 5.44% from 5.42%; and education, which went up to 6.26% from 6.21%. Among regions, Rio Branco experienced the lowest inflation rate at 3.21%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices incremented by 0.18%, following a 0.10% rise in October.
