Argentina Unemployment Rate Falls in Q3

In the third quarter of 2025, Argentina experienced a decrease in its unemployment rate to 6.6%, down from 7.6% in the previous quarter, reaching its lowest point since the last quarter of 2024. Unemployment rates differed by gender, with women at 7.4% and men at 5.9%. On a regional basis, the highest unemployment rates were recorded in the Pampeana region at 7.5% and Greater Buenos Aires at 6.8%. Analyzing educational background, 69.5% of the unemployed had at most completed secondary education, whereas 30.6% had pursued some form of tertiary or university education. In terms of job search duration, 71.1% had been looking for employment for up to 12 months, and 28.8% had been without work for over a year. Moreover, the employment rate slightly increased to 45.4% from 44.5%, and the labor force participation rate saw a rise to 48.6% from 48.1%.
