In November 2025, Luxembourg experienced a rise in its seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, reaching 6.2% compared to 5.9% in the preceding month of October. This figure represents the highest unemployment level since March 2021. The number of unemployed individuals grew by 832 from the previous month, totaling 19,724. Despite this increase in unemployment numbers, total employment saw a slight uptick, with a rise of 82, bringing the overall employment figure to 524,638. Among Luxembourg nationals, the active labor force grew by 851, reaching 319,238. In terms of cross-border employment, there were varied changes: the count of outgoing resident workers stayed consistent at 14,047, whereas the number of incoming cross-border workers saw an increase of 53, totaling 231,967.
