In November 2025, Finland experienced a rise in its unemployment rate to 9.7%, up from 8.1% in November of the previous year. This increase represents the highest unemployment level since June, as the number of unemployed individuals grew by 50,000 compared to the previous year, totaling 276,000. Among these, 151,000 were men and 125,000 were women. Furthermore, the unemployment rate among those aged 15 to 24 surged to 20.5%, reflecting a 5.0 percentage point increase over the past year. Concurrently, the number of employed individuals fell by 4,000, bringing the total to 2.566 million, while the labor force participation rate increased to 68.1%, up from 67.2% the previous year. Additionally, the employment rate for individuals aged 20 to 64 saw a slight decline to 75.6%, down from 75.7%.
