Kosovo Trade Gap Unchanged in November

In November 2025, Kosovo experienced a trade deficit of EUR 469.9 million, which remained relatively consistent with the same period the previous year. Exports saw a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%, totaling EUR 87.7 million. The largest portion of exports were base metals, representing 20.3%, followed by mineral products at 15.4%, plastics, rubber, and related articles at 11.2%, food, beverages, and tobacco at 11.1%, and various manufactured articles at 10.2%. Key export destinations included Germany at 10.7%, Italy at 2.9%, and the Netherlands at 2.7%. Concurrently, imports decreased by 1.6%, amounting to EUR 557.6 million. The primary import category was machinery, mechanical, and electrical equipment, which constituted 13.3%, followed closely by food, beverages, and tobacco at 13.1%, mineral products at 13%, transport equipment at 12.4%, and basic metals at 9.1%. Germany, Italy, and Poland emerged as the top import partners, with Germany responsible for 14.6%, Italy for 5.3%, and Poland for 3.8%.
