Albania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 3.75% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, following a 3.5% increase in the second quarter. The sectors contributing most significantly to this growth included public administration, education, and health, which saw a robust 15% increase. Additionally, notable gains were recorded in trade, transport, accommodation, and food services, which rose by 2.6%; real estate, which increased by 10.6%; and construction, which grew by 4.8%. Other sectors such as professional and administrative services, and information and communication, experienced growth of 2.1% and 10.4% respectively. The arts, entertainment, and recreation services increased by 4.1%, while the financial and insurance sector saw a modest rise of 0.7%.
Conversely, declines were observed in the industry, electricity, and water sector, which contracted by 4.8%, as well as in agriculture, forestry, and fishing, which fell by 1.7%.
In terms of expenditure components, household consumption rose by 1.3%, investment climbed by 4.8%, and government spending surged by 7.7%. There was also a significant rise in exports, which jumped by 12.6%, and a 5.5% increase in imports. When compared to the previous quarter, Albania's GDP expanded by 1.09%, marking the strongest quarterly growth in four periods.
