Lithuania Retail Sales Growth Eases in November

Retail sales in Lithuania experienced a 3.3% increase year-on-year in November 2025, showing a deceleration from the revised 3.8% increase observed the previous month. This represents the slowest growth since May, with a reduction in activity noted in several categories: non-food products grew by 7.9% compared to 10.3% in October, other non-specialized stores by 37.7% compared to 39.3%, and mail order, telephone, or internet sales by 16.4% compared to 28.6%. Conversely, sales saw a positive trend in certain sectors, including food, beverages, and tobacco, which rose by 1.4% compared to the previous 1.1% increase, and non-specialized stores also increased to 1.3% from 1.1%, with audio and video equipment sales up by 3.2% from 2%. Additionally, the decline in automotive fuel sales saw a less pronounced drop, at -3.9% compared to -4.4% previously. On a monthly comparison, November retail sales went up by 0.8%, improving from a downwardly revised growth of 0.2% in the previous month.
