In November 2025, Turkey's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate saw a slight uptick, reaching 8.6%, compared to 8.5% in October, a figure that marked a three-month low. The unemployed population grew by 54,000, totaling 3.10 million individuals. Simultaneously, total employment increased by 75,000, amounting to 32.74 million, thereby raising the employment rate slightly to 49.2% from 49.1%. Employment among men increased to 66.8% from 66.5%, while employment for women decreased from 32.4% to 31.9%. The labor force participation rate experienced a minor increase, climbing to 53.8% from 53.7%, indicative of gradual improvements in workforce engagement. Despite these changes, the youth unemployment rate for those aged 15 to 24 remained steady at 15.4% in November.
