In November 2025, Chile experienced a 0.8% decline in industrial production compared to the previous year, worsening from a 0.5% drop in October. The mining sector's output decreased by 1.3%, following a 0.8% reduction in the preceding month. This included a significant 7.2% decline in copper production and a 4.3% decrease in metallic mining. The manufacturing sector also saw a downturn, with output contracting by 1.3%, a more severe drop than the 0.6% dip in October, largely due to a sharp 17% decrease in the production of wood and wood products, including cork. On the other hand, utility output showed positive growth, rising by 2.4% and building on the 1.1% increase observed in the previous month, bolstered by a 2.2% uplift in electricity generation.
