In December 2025, Vietnam experienced a 9.8% year-on-year rise in retail sales, surpassing the previous month's 7.1% growth and reaching the highest rate since September. This upswing was fueled by increased sales in various sectors: goods surged by 8.6% compared to November's 6.0%, accommodation and food services grew by 14.2% up from 13.6%, tourism-related activities saw an increase to 19.9% from 19.1%, and other services expanded by 12.7% versus 7.2% in the preceding month. Overall, retail sales for the entire year of 2025 rose by 9.2% in comparison to 2024.
