Angola Inflation Rate Keeps Falling

Angola's annual inflation rate saw a further decline to 15.70% in December 2025, marking its lowest point since September 2023, and down from November's rate of 16.56%. This downward trend has been consistent since August 2024, with the stability of the kwanza playing a vital role. The deceleration in price increases was observed across most sectors, particularly in food and non-alcoholic beverages (16.15% compared to 16.87% in November), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (15.13% compared to 16.33%), clothing and footwear (14.34% compared to 15.69%), housing and utilities (17.01% compared to 17.23%), and furnishings and household equipment (14.30% compared to 15.41%). On a month-on-month basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.95% in December, following a 0.85% rise in the previous month.
