Saudi Arabia Industrial Output Hits 3-Year High

In November 2025, Saudi Arabia's industrial production surged by 10.4% compared to the same month the previous year, up from an 8.9% increase recorded in October. This represented the most significant growth since October 2022. The heightened output in oil activities rose by 12.9%, an increase from the 10.8% observed in October. This acceleration was driven by higher production in coke and refined petroleum products, which grew by 14.5% compared to 8% previously, as well as the extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas, which went up by 12.6% from 11.5%.

Non-oil activity output remained stable at a 4.4% increase. Despite this steadiness, manufacturing activity jumped to 8.1% from 5.5%, bolstered by gains in the manufacture of chemicals, chemical products, and food products. There was also an uptick in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities, rising to 10.2% from a previous 8.5%. Nonetheless, output in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply saw a decline, falling by 4.3% compared to a previous increase of 5.1%. On the month-to-month scale, industrial activity decreased by 0.7% in November, a slight improvement from the revised 1% drop in October.
