This figure is significantly below the market's projected increase to JPY 357 billion. Exports saw a 5.1% year-on-year rise, reaching a record JPY 10,411.5 billion, continuing a growth trend for the fourth month, although falling slightly short of the anticipated 6.1%. On the other hand, imports climbed by 5.3% to hit an 11-month high of JPY 10,305.8 billion, exceeding the expected 3.6% increase and marking the fourth consecutive month of growth.
