This follows a mixed session the previous day, during which the S&P 500 reached new record highs. Investors are preparing for the Federal Reserve's upcoming monetary policy announcement and are simultaneously evaluating a new series of corporate earnings. Additionally, they are anticipating significant technology company reports after the market close. Texas Instruments experienced a surge of over 8% in premarket trading due to optimistic projections, while AT&T's earnings and revenue exceeded expectations, resulting in a 3.5% increase in its stock. Conversely, Danaher's performance fell short of expectations, causing a 1.4% decline in its shares. Meanwhile, Microsoft, Meta, Tesla, and IBM saw modest movements with Microsoft and IBM each increasing by 0.2%, Meta decreasing by 0.2%, and Tesla rising by 0.3%. Visa shares, on the other hand, remained stable as they prepared to report earnings after the market closed.
