Germany GDP Growth Beats Forecasts in Q4

Germany's economy experienced a growth of 0.3% quarter-on-quarter in the final three months of 2025, marking the strongest performance seen over the past three quarters. This growth follows a stagnant previous period and surpasses the anticipated increase of 0.2%, according to preliminary data. Notably, there was a rise in both household and government final consumption expenditure. On an annual basis, GDP climbed by 0.4%, achieving the most substantial growth in three years, following a 0.3% increase for each of the preceding three quarters and exceeding the projected 0.3%. Thus, Germany concluded 2025 on a positive note, despite a challenging year dominated by fluctuations in foreign trade. This 0.2% annual economic expansion represents their first growth in three years.
