Colombia Exports Rebound in December

In December 2025, Colombia experienced a 1.3% increase in exports compared to the same month the previous year, totaling $4.54 billion. This marks a reversal from the 2.7% decline observed in November. Notably, exports of petroleum and petroleum-based products plummeted by 22.6%. However, the "other exports" category skyrocketed by 90.4%, largely due to a substantial rise in non-monetary gold shipments. Additionally, exports of manufactured goods increased by 3.2%, spurred by higher sales of machinery, transport equipment, and chemical products. Agricultural export sales experienced a 5.4% increase, with shipments of unroasted coffee, bananas, and plantains showing significant growth. The United States continued to be Colombia's primary trade partner, accounting for 30.2% of its exports, followed by Panama and India.
