Albania’s annual inflation rate was 2.3% in January 2026, unchanged from December. The largest price increases were recorded in housing, water, electricity and other fuels (4.4%), and in food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.8%). Prices also rose for alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.7%); furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (2.0%); and restaurants and accommodation services (2.4%). Additional increases were seen in recreation, sport and culture (4.9%), insurance and financial services (4.4%), personal care and other miscellaneous goods and services (2.6%), and education services (1.9%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.4% in January 2026, slowing from a 0.7% increase in December 2025.
