The month-over-month comparison shows that, after a period of stability at the start of the year, underlying price pressures in Brandenburg have begun to firm. The “actual” figure for February reflects changes versus January 2026, while the “previous” indicator had measured January’s prices against December, when no net increase was recorded.
While the 0.4% rise signals only a moderate acceleration, it suggests that the pause in consumer price growth seen in January has ended, potentially feeding into broader inflation dynamics across Germany if the trend continues in coming months.
