Switzerland’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.2% in February 2026, matching its highest level since April 2021. The number of unemployed persons fell slightly, down 1.2 thousand from the previous month to 151.1 thousand.
The youth unemployment rate, covering job-seekers aged 15 to 24, inched down to 3.1% from 3.2%, as the number of young unemployed declined marginally by 0.2 thousand to 13.5 thousand. Over the same period, reported job vacancies slipped by 0.8 thousand to 48.1 thousand.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the overall unemployment rate rose to 3.0% in February from 2.9% in January.
