FX.co ★ Chilean Annual Inflation Eases to Lowest Since August 2020

Chile’s annual inflation rate eased to 2.4% in February 2026, its lowest level since August 2020, down from 2.8% in January. The strongest price increases were recorded in restaurants and lodging (6.0%), education (5.5%), and healthcare (5.2%). Food prices rose by 4.2%, while housing and utilities advanced 3.1%. Several categories registered price declines: transport fell 2.0%, and deflation was also seen in clothing and footwear (-4.5%), insurance and financial services (-4.8%), and information and communication (-0.4%). On a monthly basis, overall consumer prices were flat, following a 0.4% increase in January.
