Denmark’s seasonally adjusted trade surplus narrowed to DKK 31.2 billion in January 2026, down from a downwardly revised DKK 35.2 billion in December. Exports declined 5.9% month-on-month to DKK 176.8 billion, driven by decreases in both goods (-6.5%) and services (-5.0%). Imports fell 4.7% to DKK 145.6 billion, reflecting reduced purchases of goods (-2.9%) and services (-6.7%). Over the latest three-month period, total exports increased by 0.9%, while imports edged down by 0.5%.
