FX.co ★ Spain Retail Sales Growth Quickens in January

Retail trade in Spain increased by 4% year-on-year in January 2026, picking up pace from a downwardly revised 2.8% rise in the previous month. The strongest gains were recorded in non-food products (5.7%), particularly in personal equipment (5.6%), household equipment (2.5%), and other goods (2.4%). Expenditure on food products rose by 2.5%. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, retail sales edged up 0.1%, following a revised 0.9% decline in the prior month.
