Estonia Producer Inflation Eases in February

Estonia’s producer prices increased by 0.8% year-on-year in February 2026, slowing from an eleven-month high of 4.3% in January. Producer inflation eased in mining and quarrying (1.4% vs 1.6% in January) and, more sharply, in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning (1.8% vs 44.3%).

In the manufacturing sector, producer prices were flat (0.0% vs 0.4% previously). Softer price growth in wearing apparel, wood and wood products, chemicals and chemical products, and machinery and equipment n.e.c. offset higher prices in beverages, leather and related products, basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, electrical equipment, and furniture.

By contrast, inflation in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities picked up (4.1% vs 1.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged down 0.1% in February, after a 5.7% jump in January.
