Spain GDP Growth Confirmed at 0.8% in Q4

Spain’s GDP expanded by 0.8% in the fourth quarter of 2025, matching earlier estimates and edging up from the 0.6% growth recorded in Q3. The increase was largely underpinned by domestic demand, which contributed 0.9 percentage points to quarterly growth, while external demand slightly detracted, subtracting 0.1 percentage points.

Household consumption rose by 0.9%, and public spending increased by 0.2%. Investment (gross capital formation) posted a solid gain of 1.9%. On the external side, exports advanced by 0.8%, a clear improvement on the previous quarter, while imports climbed by 1.2%.

On the supply side, all major sectors recorded stable or positive developments. Industrial output grew by 0.3%, although manufacturing activity slowed to 0.1%. Construction was the standout performer, expanding by 2.2%, and services activity rose by 0.9%. Primary sectors were broadly unchanged, following a previous decline.

In year-on-year terms, GDP increased by 2.7%, maintaining the same growth rate as in the preceding quarter.
