Taiwan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged down to 3.33% in February 2026 from 3.36% in January, reaching its lowest level since October of the previous year. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 4 thousand month-on-month to 401 thousand, a seven-month low. Among young people aged 15 to 24, the jobless rate slipped to 11.34% from 11.44% in January.
Overall employment declined by 5 thousand from the prior month to 11.64 million, reflecting modest reductions in the agriculture and services sectors, while employment in industry remained stable. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate was virtually unchanged at 59.6%.
